KC Ironcore
About KC Ironcore — Mobile Welding in Kansas City
KC Ironcore is a mobile welding and metal fabrication shop run by Chris, a skilled welder and fabricator serving the Kansas City metro. If it's metal, he can work it. Insured. Mobile. KC-based.
About KC Ironcore
KC Ironcore is me — Chris — and a rig. I'm a welder and fabricator, I've been working metal {{CHRIS: years of experience}}, and I'm running mobile across the Kansas City metro. My brother's helping me get the business off the ground. The work is mine.
I started this because the way I see it, there's a gap in this town: plenty of shops that'll eventually get to you, plenty of guys with a welder in a truck bed, but not enough people who'll show up fast, do it right, charge a number that makes sense, and stand behind it. That's what I'm building.
What I bring
Short version: if it's metal, I can work it. Repair, fabrication, restoration — steel, aluminum, stainless, cast iron. {{CHRIS: which processes you run mobile — engine-driven stick/flux-core/MIG, TIG setup, plasma, etc.}} I've done {{CHRIS: the kind of work you cut your teeth on — production fab, structural, equipment repair, pipe, whatever it was}}, and I learned the trade {{CHRIS: where / how you learned — school, apprenticeship, on the job}}.
I'm not a "we do everything" sign on a 50,000-square-foot building. I'm one guy who knows what he's doing, who picks up the phone, and who comes to you.
How I work
- Mobile — I bring the rig to your shop, yard, jobsite, or driveway. You don't haul a trailer or a piece of equipment across town and lose it for a week.
- Straight pricing — $225 service call (travel + first hour), $125/hr after, flat quotes from photos for defined-scope work. No "call for pricing." See how pricing works.
- Insured — I carry liability coverage and I can send a COI before I'm on your property. {{CHRIS: confirm GL carrier + COI turnaround}}
- I stand behind it — if a weld I did doesn't hold, that's on me to make right. {{CHRIS: confirm workmanship warranty terms}}
Where I'm headed
A couple of things in the works that aren't live yet but tell you where this is going:
- AWS D1.1 structural certification — {{CHRIS: confirm whether you're pursuing it and roughly when}}. That one unlocks code, GC, and municipal work.
- A built-out trailer rig and a "Rust & Restore" line — blasting, surface prep, and protective coating, run as its own thing once the equipment's in place. {{CHRIS: confirm the trailer-rig plan and timeline}}
For now: mobile welding, on-site repair, and custom fabrication, anywhere in the KC metro, done right.
Who I work with
Contractors, fab shops, fleets and trucking outfits, property managers and HOAs, ranchers and farmers, and homeowners. Basically: people who run equipment and people whose metal broke. More on who I work with and what they need →
